Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Advanced Materials for Sustainable Infrastructure Development, co-chaired by Prof. Ravindra Gettu and co-sponsored by IIT Madras took place at Ventura Beach, California from February 25 – March 1.

The 3rd International Workshop on Technologies for Low-Carbon and Lean Construction (TLC2) was organized by the Centre of Excellence on TLC2 in
association with RILEM from January 28th – 31st, 2024, at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. The TLC2 Week witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 250 participants from Industry, Academia,
Government organizations and the student community. The event aimed to disseminate the recent findings and identify new challenges in the areas of TLC2 through interactions with relevant national and international stakeholders working in these areas.

We are happy to share highlights of our progress in 2023, including our publications, the accomplishments of our students and faculty, the partnerships we are nurturing with our international collaborators and events/conferences organized in 2023.

NEWS IN BRIEF: Prof. Ravindra Gettu and Prof. Nikhil Bugalia visited University of Cambridge in November, presented in DRF Lunchtime Clinic organized by Digital Roads of the Future.

First ever TLC2 day was conducted on November 4th in IITM Research Park.

The IRIS webinar on TLC2 was conducted on 31st October by IIT Madras
to highlight the ongoing research by the Centre of Excellence on
Technologies on Low-Carbon and Lean Construction (TLC2).

Ravindra Gettu Honorary Sessions in the 77th RILEM Annual Week in Vancouver, Canada, from 4-8 September 2023. 

As part of the 1st Interdisciplinary Symposium on Smart & Sustainable Infrastructures, eight Special Sessions were held in honor of Prof. Ravindra Gettu for outstanding scientific work in the field and excellent contribution to the RILEM Society.

IIT-Madras in association with IAARC and TLC2 hosted 40th International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction (ISARC 2023) from July 3rd to 7th, 2023
