Dr. Sivakumar Palaniappan  is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Madras since July 2010. His research interests are in the areas of Embodied energy assessment of construction materials and buildings, life cycle energy of buildings, Green building ratings, Quality and safety management, Construction Project Management and Construction Scheduling, Monitoring & Control.
